Home Insulation Blower Method - Cellulose

Provides excellent thermal and acoustical insulation.

Cellulose is an environmentally friendly product.

Suitable for new construction projects, as well as retrofit.

Applies easily in horizontal, low and steep pitched slopes, including attic areas, ceilings, walls and stud cavities.

Drastically reduces air leakage and convection.

Maintains a consistent R-Value throughout blown areas.

Provides noise absorption, thermal resistance, and permanent fire retardant properties.

Cellulose fibres are combined with additives which prevent mold, infestation and combustion.

Sprayed Polyurethane Foam Insulation

Method creates an exceptional air barrier and insulation.

Commonly used in both new construction and retrofits.

Suitable for insulation of floors, walls, ceilings, tanks, ducts, and pipes.

The rigid cellular plastic material of predominantly closed cells, provides high R-Value/inch.

Method conforms to CGSB standards.

One of the most efficient air barrier methods available.

Excellent for large coverage as it is lightweight, seamless and flexible.

Structural strength of building is increased by applied foam.

Superior product longevity.

Asbestos Abatement

Asbestos that has become friable (the material crumbles or is easily reduced to powder by hand pressure alone), must be abated or sealed to stop airborne fibres from causing a health risk for building occupants.

Abatement must occur prior to the commencement of any demolition or renovation of any property.

The rock fibre is commonly found in roofing shingles; siding shingles with asbestos cement; vinyl floor tiles and adhesives; wall and ceiling soundproofing tiles; spackle; stipple; attic and wall insulation; insulation blankets for furnace ducts, hot water pipes and boilers, and furnace door gaskets.

Areas of work will be treated as a Type I, Type II or Type III Removal; this varies according to the extent of existing asbestos and the complexity of the site.

Options for abatement include complete removal, enclosing the area, encapsulation, or a combination of methods.

All abatement work is completed in sealed areas to protect the public.

All wastes are removed by a double-bagging process using poly bags washed clean of any waste.

All bags are promptly moved off site and disposed of according to provincial laws.

New asbestos-free retardant products are available for construction.

Health risks and concerns are eliminated by abating asbestos.

UFFI Abatement

Urea Formaldehyde Foam Insulation is now a banned material due to its suspected health hazards.

Removing UFFI eliminates the release of harmful gases into your home or building.

Dosimeter testing can be completed to determine present formaldehyde levels.

Vendors are often asked to certify that their property is UFFI free.

Realtors will require the same UFFI-free certification in order to avoid the legal liability for the existence of the insulation.

Polyurethane is a safe and effective alternative to UFFI.

Pipe Insulation

Thermal insulation protects both hot and cold service piping.

Benefits of method include fire resistance, and elimination of moisture damage, air leaks, and heat loss.

Suitable for domestic use, high temperature, dual temperature, steam, and refrigerated lines.

Application temperature may range from 0°F to 850°F.

Single seam cylindrical insulation is lightweight and is suitable for concealed or exposed piping.

Aluminum jacketing may be applied in outdoor applications.

R-Values range from R3 to R5.
